How to apply for an assisted theory test for special needs candidates
When you have applied for a driving licence, you can apply for an assisted theory test.
How to apply from a PC
- You need to apply for a driving licence before you can apply for an assisted theory test for special needs candidates
- Go to our “Contact Us” page (Norwegian only) and fill in your personal information in the form.
- Download the application form for an assisted theory test.
- Fill in the application form and save it to your PC.
- Upload the application along with documentation confirming that you need an assisted theory test.
- Submit your application.
Most applicants will receive a response to their application within two weeks, but it may sometimes take up to four weeks.
To have your application processed as fast as possible, you need to ensure that you have applied for a driving licence before you can apply for an assisted theory test. It is also important that you have entered the correct information in the form before submitting it and that you have attached the right documentation.
You also need to book an appointment for the theory test
When your application has been granted, you also need to book an appointment for the theory test at a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office by calling 22 07 30 00.
If you need an interpreter-assisted theory test, you must inform us of this when you contact us by telephone. You will need to book an approved interpreter yourself before you come to the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office for the test.
