Pink card, larger than a bank card (Vienna models 1 and 2)
Was your driving licence issued between 1 April 1979 and 31 December 1997 (inclusive)? Then it is no longer valid. Your driving licence was valid up to and including 31 December 2022.
As of 1 January 2023, you can no longer drive when you have this driving licence. In order to drive again you need to renew your driving licence.
Pink card, bank card sized (EEA model 1)
If your driving licence was issued between 1 January 1998 and 18 January 2013 (inclusive), you need to renew it by 18 January 2033.
If you reach the age of 80 before 18 January 2033, you must renew your driving licence before your 80th birthday.
How to renew your driving licence
You need to take a new photo to renew your driving licence. You take the photo at a Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office (trafikkstasjon).
Book an appointment for renewal of your driving licence to avoid waiting at the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Office. Bring valid proof of identity.
