Appealing against a Notification of Sale
You have the right to appeal against a decision regarding change of ownership (Notification of Sale). In certain situations, you should contact the police.
If you are in a situation where you want to have a vehicle returned to you, or someone owes you money for a sale, you should contact the police.
When a final and enforceable decision has been made in the case (by a court of law or equivalent legal authority), the Norwegian Public Roads Administration can change who is listed as the owner of the vehicle. We can only help you resolve the case once such a ruling has been made.
Stolen vehicle
If your vehicle has been stolen, you should report this to the police. Remember to also contact your insurance company.
Conflict over money when selling a vehicle
If someone owes you money in connection with the sale of a vehicle, you can send the case to the Conciliation Board. Contact the police if you would like to use the Conciliation Board.
