Neighbour information about the project is generally given in Norwegian. Here, you will find some information, contacts and important links.

The construction work on E18 Vestkorridoren includes a new highway between Lysaker and Ramstadsletta, which will go through Stabekklokket and Høviktunnelen. Furthermore, there will be a new local road to Fornebu, a tunnel to Gjønnes, and new pedestrian and cycle paths. Tunnel work is continuous around the clock (Monday to Saturday) and involves i.a. drilling, injection and blasting.

Construction work to establish Høviktunnelen is divided between two contractors: E102 Fornebukrysset-Strand and E103 Strand-Ramstadsletta. See the illustration below. Lines with stripes illustrate how far we have blasted as of 10 December 2024. We blast about 10 meters per week in both east and west directions. Progress depends, among other things, on the quality of the ground (type of rock).

The illustration shows how far the tunnelling has progressed (indicated by the shaded area).

Vibration meters are installed to control vibrations so that they do not exceed the limit value set by a third party. You will feel vibrations during blasting, which might feel uncomfortable and, for some, even frightening. However, they do not harm buildings or people.
