What can you drive with a Category CE driving licence?
Category CE entitles you, among other things, to drive a lorry and tow a trailer with a maximum authorised mass of more than 750 kg.
You must be at least 21 years old and hold a driving licence for Category C to get a Category CE licence.
You may be younger than 21 if you are undergoing or have completed mandatory training for a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).

Lorry
You can drive a lorry with a maximum authorised mass of more than 7,500 kg. It can be approved for no more than 8 passengers.
Lorry with trailer
You can tow a trailer with a maximum authorised mass of more than 750 kg.
A Category CE driving licence is also valid for a light lorry with trailer. In your driving licence, this is marked as Category C1E.
Passenger car with trailer
You can drive a passenger car and tow a trailer with a maximum authorised mass between 750 kg and 3,500 kg. The car can be approved for no more than 8 passengers. In your driving licence, this is marked as Category BE.
Tractor
You can drive a tractor with or without a trailer. In your driving licence, this is marked with code 142.
The driving entitlement for tractors is only valid in Norway.
Motorised equipment
You can drive motorised equipment with or without a trailer.
The driving entitlement for motorised equipment is only valid in Norway.
Driver CPC
You need a Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) if you are transporting goods by lorry for hire or reward.
